Citi Flex Pay on American Airlines is a feature built-in to eligible Citi®/AAdvantage® credit cards that allows you to pay over time in equal monthly payments for aa.com and American app flight purchases at checkout.
When you are booking an eligible flight on aa.com or the American app with your eligible Citi®/AAdvantage® credit card, simply choose the Citi Flex Pay monthly payment option that works best for you on your Review and Pay page. After you book your flight, the flight amount will be charged to your eligible Citi®/AAdvantage® credit card and deducted from your available credit. However, with Citi Flex Pay, only the Flex Pay monthly payment will be added to the Minimum Payment Due each billing cycle, until paid in full.
Citi Flex Pay on American Airlines can only be used for flight purchases of $75 or more on aa.com or the American app using your eligible Citi®/AAdvantage® credit card. Ancillary fees, including but not limited to checked baggage fees, upgrades, and seat selection fees, are not eligible for Citi Flex Pay at checkout.
Yes. You will continue to earn all the same AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points on your flight purchase from your eligible Citi®/AAdvantage® credit card, as you normally would.
A merchant refund to your Account will post to your Account as a credit. If you would like to apply the credit to your remaining Flex Pay balance, please call the number on the back of your card.
No. Your Citi® Flex Pay monthly payment will be added to the Minimum Payment Due each billing cycle until paid in full. You do not need to make any separate payments for your Citi® Flex Pay.
There is no pre-payment penalty for Citi® Flex Pay. You can always pay off your Citi® Flex Pay early by paying your account balance in full.
You can view the details of your Citi® Flex Pay in your Citi® Flex Plan Summary located in your Citi® Online account, the Citi® Mobile App or by reviewing your billing statement.
